Jim passes away peacefully in Kansas City hospital.

God bless Jim...... Pearl's husband passed away peacefully in the Kansas City Hospital this after noon. He was struggling for life for the last over one week. He was suffering from lung cancer. Pearl is Helen's eldest sister and lives in Neveda, about 30 miles away from here, in the north. I received this sad news on the telephone. Helen is away and on work but when she rang me to know as to what I was doing I broke the news to her. She said she would get in touch with them as soon as possible. Janet Raymond told me that all ceremonies will be held, probably, tomorrow which happens to be Sunday. Luckily I had Gene's new telephone which I gave to her so that she may inform him about this sad demise in the family. Raymond, Gene, Helen and myself had visited Jim in the hospital last week. Even at that time he looked to be in a serious condition and all his family members were trying to save him by putting available resources at their disposal. Over a dozen people from the family were always present in the hospital to watch his progress but nothing helped him. He is now peacefully with the Lord and has left good memories behind. Any way it is the fact of life and it is this way the life moves on. I hope to go to his funeral to pay my homage to this real gentleman. God bless his soul.
