Thanks to God !!!!

Thanks to God who brought 2005 to a peaceful end in my family in Pakistan, UK and the USA. God also removed the stress I was feeling about Sarah's marriage. I want to go to Pakistan for a while and come back after one or two months time and purchase some store here and start my business here. Year 2006 has already dawned in Austarlia, China, Pakistan and in some middle eastern countries. We in USA are still away from the new year by 6/7 hours. A big fuction is to be held at Time square, New York city, on this occasion. First day of the new year is Qadeer Akther Butt's birthday too. I wish him many many such days in the future. Qadeer, may God bless you and your family in every respect.

Qadeer Akther Butt, my youngest son in Pakistan

Qadeer Akther Butt, my youngest son in Pakistan, will be celebrating his 34th Birthday tomorrow. I am far away from him but I will speak to him on the phone. I am waiting to be going to London to visit my middle son, Touqeer Butt, in the second week of January, next year. He is sitting with his sister, Sarah, at the occasion of her marriage. On the left is his own wife, Nazish Alina, wishing Sarah all the best in the days to come.

2005 coming to an end.

Year 2005 is coming to an end. For some it was happy but there were some for whom it was not. Tomorrow people all around the world will welcome the new year. I pray to God that it brings news of happiness for all. For me 2005 was a great year. My last remaining unmarried child, Sarah, was married to Hassan Butt on the 4th of December. Lets pray for all the good from the 2006.

Penny and Dave in Springfield MO

Penny is Helen's youngest daughter who is always ready to play host to us. She is looking after us as Mona was looking after us while we were in Lamar. Her husband is an other example of a nice man. Still there is their loving son, Tristin, who feals happy when he comes to his grand-ma's house. We both are happy we share a lot of time with him. Penny looks like Gori in Pakistan and to me she is acting like a loving daughter.

X'mas at Stockton ... famous lake town

We were to join Jim, Helen's son, living in Springfield on X'mas day and spend whole of the day with them but Jim and Jamie fell ill and had flu and for this reason our joining them was cancelled. Andy, Jim's youngest son, came to us to inform us about this. Jim did not want his Mom to get flu as she is suffering from breathing problem already and called off the function. However, he sent his gifts for both of us. Both of them were beautiful and I thanked him on the phone for sending us the gifts. Having learnt that we are not to join Jim on X'mas Karen, Helen's daughter living in Stockton, about 120 miles from here called us and requested us to come over supper and celebrate X'mas with them. So around 12 o'clock we started for Stockton, which is a famous lake in this area, and reached there around 1:30 pm following a short cut to the place. Amber and her party followed us. Amanda was already there. We watched different movies but Helen, Karen and Samie prepared supper. After supper Amber was the first to leave and then we followed. Amanada accompanied us to Springfield. I did not know if she was living in Springfield and working as a travel agent with a big travel company. Andy took her to her home from ours after having collected presents for Jim, Jamie and himself. It was a refreshing trip to Stockton lake and we enjoyed this short trip. Before starting for Stockton Penny wanted us to come to her house as her son, Tristin, had purchased gifts for us by saving his school pocket money and wanted to deliver them to us. It was very kind of this boy for having purchased gifts for us. I kissed Tristin and thanked him for his show of love for us. Tristin was the only child who purchased gifts for us. What a big way to remember grand-parents at this occasion. His father, Dave, made pictures of us at this occasion which I will be posting soon on this page but forgot to post Tristin's picture of this occasion for which I reminded Dave to send one so that I may thank this young child by bring up show of his love for us on my page. God bless Tristin.

Sarah and Hassan Butt's latest picture

God bless them !!!!! This is the latest picture I have from Pakistan taken on the occasion of my daughter's marriage at Lahore on December 4th. The groom, Hassan Butt, is my friend's, Latif Butt, son. I wish them good luck in their future life. I couldn't go back to Pakistan because of my illness here but I was with all of them every second of the hour when the marriage function was being help at the Al-jannat Marriage Hall, College Road, Township, Lahore. ..... I will soon be posting the other photos too.

Sarah's marriage photographs

Omar Butt, my grand-son and Rukshee's son, has sent me Sarah's marriage photographs which I will post on my page in a day or two.

Friday, December 09, 2005

I am lucky I have Rukshee, my eldest daughter, who acted like a father in my absence from Pakistan on the occasion of Sarah's marriage. She acted, in fact, like a brother, a sister and like a mother to Sarah. Her husband contributed equally in a befitting manner on this occasion. While Rukshee looked after the gifts which I wanted to give Sarah and made hundreds of the trips to different markets Idrees Butt, her husband, looked after the meal which was served to the marriage party from Narowal. I spoke to Latif Butt sahib and he was fully satisfied with all the arrangements which Idrees Butt had made for this occasion. I have to thank my daughter and my son-in-law, Idrees Butt, for looking after Sarah's matters in my absence. I had looked after some other girls on their marriages and God made this arrangement for me when I was away from my daughter on the occasion of her marriage. I must thank God Who made all this possible in my absence without any problem. I wish everybody that they have daughter(s) like Rukshee and son-in-law(s) like Idrees Butt. ... Sarah was here in Lahore on Friday for the first time after her marriage. I spoke to her too. She told me that Hassan and she had tried to speak to me at my Cell earlier but my phone was not responding. She, however, did not know that I had turned off my Cell phone after I spoke to her in her new house in Narowal, for I wanted to rest, as I could not sleep for two nites here in view of her marriage and was worried about the arrangements and had wanted to rest. It was a wondeful experience and God made all this possible for me being very kind to me. I am happy I got God's gift right in this world too for the noble job done on the occasion of marriages of some (other) girls in the family.

Sarah, my youngest child stands married

Sarah Hashmet, my youngest child in Pakistan, was married to Hassan Butt in Lahore on December 4th. While it was day in Pakistan it was night in the USA so I remained awake all the time till she left for her 'home' around 7 pm that evening. I spoke to Sarah in her 'sweet home' around their 10:30 pm. Her father-in-law, Latif Butt, was first to speak to me. I congratulated him and he told me that they had arrived in Narowal about half an hour before. Then he gave the telephone to Sarah so that I may say a hello to her too. It was a very difficult time for me but I was able to say to her to 'act like her own mother' in her new own 'sweet home'. Then I wished her 'good luck' in her future life. She thanked me and as I had tears in my eyes I ended the coversation. I missed her marriage and herself because of my illness in the USA. Next day was a very busy day for me but my heart and mind was full with happiness as my sweet darling daughter was happyly married with respect and honour. I thanked God for this.
