We were to join Jim, Helen's son, living in Springfield on X'mas day and spend whole of the day with them but Jim and Jamie fell ill and had flu and for this reason our joining them was cancelled. Andy, Jim's youngest son, came to us to inform us about this. Jim did not want his Mom to get flu as she is suffering from breathing problem already and called off the function. However, he sent his gifts for both of us. Both of them were beautiful and I thanked him on the phone for sending us the gifts. Having learnt that we are not to join Jim on X'mas Karen, Helen's daughter living in Stockton, about 120 miles from here called us and requested us to come over supper and celebrate X'mas with them.
So around 12 o'clock we started for Stockton, which is a famous lake in this area, and reached there around 1:30 pm following a short cut to the place. Amber and her party followed us. Amanda was already there. We watched different movies but Helen, Karen and Samie prepared supper. After supper Amber was the first to leave and then we followed. Amanada accompanied us to Springfield. I did not know if she was living in Springfield and working as a travel agent with a big travel company. Andy took her to her home from ours after having collected presents for Jim, Jamie and himself. It was a refreshing trip to Stockton lake and we enjoyed this short trip. Before starting for Stockton Penny wanted us to come to her house as her son, Tristin, had purchased gifts for us by saving his school pocket money and wanted to deliver them to us. It was very kind of this boy for having purchased gifts for us. I kissed Tristin and thanked him for his show of love for us. Tristin was the only child who purchased gifts for us. What a big way to remember grand-parents at this occasion. His father, Dave, made pictures of us at this occasion which I will be posting soon on this page but forgot to post Tristin's picture of this occasion for which I reminded Dave to send one so that I may thank this young child by bring up show of his love for us on my page. God bless Tristin.
