Pakistan at stake

Well, dear, most of the group friends are here enjoying the dawn of democracy in Pakistan and, you are right to say that we should not sit idle till the democracy does not take the full spin of the wheel in a country like Pakistan.
Both Zardari and Nawaz are playing the game very carefully but the greedy general (now retired) who has (mis) ruled the country for more than eight years has not lost HOPE to derail the democracy so that he can be in command again but I hope it will not happen (now) as the present C-in-C of the Pak Army has distanced himself  and the army from the greedy general, Pervez Musharraf, in view of the feelings which the public-in-gerneral have  against the army and I salute him, Gen. Kayani, for playing his major role for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan.
I was, one of the thousands of people of Pakistan, disappointed  at the events happening for disciplined people who decided to migrate to other countries as they could not be part of what was heppening to people like me at the age of 70 but now, I feel, there is some kind of respite to look forward in the future there.
Lets hope and pray for the better.
Yours,  Zulfiqar Ali Butt,  at present in Lahore
