A western convert to Islam writes !!!

A vote for ......... a view ~ I converted to Islam while living in the West. Despite the negative image of Islam, I saw an alternative to the hypocrisy and inadequacies of the West. The Islamic faith provides viable solutions for the mankind's problems regardless of what age we live in. I have since settled with my family in Pakistan. However, it is with great sadness and anger that I find Muslims living under such oppression, where hardship and poverty are the major debilitating obstacles for the people. Rather than implementing the laws of Islam in this land, those in power prefer to give leadership to the West. As someone who has experience of both civilizations, it is clear to me that the West has little to offer and the only way to raise the dignity of the Muslims once again is to implement Islam comprehensively.
